TASTE, VISION & PASSION
Make an emotional connection with your guests. Casual dining, comfort and simplicity or a multi course culinary story for a small group. I will always offer a unique foodie experience and inspirational cuisine to delight and inspire you and your friends. I pride myself on knowing the language of the whole culinary spectrum: taste, enthusiasm, wholesome foods, detail, sharing and love. To me, that is what cooking is all about, and it always shows in every share board and dish I make.
I'M THE CULINARY PICKPOCKET
When I was child, it was the smells that impressed me the most. The Covent Garden Market in London. Especially the delicatessen. The farmers and the smell of the summer fields. Fresh corn, baked Portuguese breads and fish. It was heavenly. Fast forward to Oma's after a lazy day of playing at the park with Opa. I could smell what she was making before I even made it to the back porch. She was cooking what she loved, and knew that we all would love it too. From time to time, somewhere I catch a whiff that takes me back to those days and makes me smile from ear to ear.
On my own culinary journey, I have been very fortunate to work alongside some amazing chefs and cooks in St. Marys, Stratford, London and Waterloo. The most inspirational chef I was taught by was Steven James, who apprenticed under the famed Anton Mosimann, michelin star chef and royal warrant to HRH Prince Charles. He taught me skills, confidence, and creativity. He was both serious and fun, strived for perfection and cooked with love.
And that is how I have been cooking ever since.
